New nerve block technique tested for faster hip surgery recovery
NCT ID NCT06321718
Summary
This study compared two different nerve-block techniques for controlling pain after hip fracture surgery. Researchers tested whether a newer combination nerve block (PENG + LFCN) works better than a standard nerve block (S-FICB) for pain relief and helping patients regain leg movement faster. The trial involved 96 adults with hip fractures who were randomly assigned to receive one of the two nerve-block methods before their surgery.
