New nerve block technique tested for Post-Surgery pain
NCT ID NCT06452238
Summary
This study compared two different nerve-block techniques for managing pain after open kidney removal surgery. Researchers tested whether a newer method (external oblique intercostal plane block) provides better pain relief than a more established method (transversus abdominis plane block). The trial involved 40 adult patients to see which approach reduced pain medication needs and improved comfort during recovery.
