New pain block combo may speed recovery after heart surgery

Summary

This study tests two ways to manage pain after heart surgery. One group gets a standard nerve block near the breastbone, while the other gets that plus an additional block near the ribs. The goal is to see which method reduces pain, lowers the need for strong painkillers, and helps patients recover faster. 70 adults having planned heart surgery will take part.
