Nerve block tested to ease pain after gallbladder removal
NCT ID NCT07465406
Summary
This study tested whether a special nerve-block injection given at the end of gallbladder removal surgery helps reduce pain afterward. Sixty patients having the surgery were split into two groups: one received the injection, and the other did not. Researchers compared the patients' pain levels and how much extra pain medication they needed in the first 12 hours after surgery.
