NCT ID NCT07679334

First seen Jul 01, 2026 · Last updated Jul 01, 2026

Summary

This phase I trial is testing whether combining three drugs—pacritinib, venetoclax, and azacitidine—is safe and tolerable for people with accelerated or blast phase myeloproliferative neoplasms, aggressive blood cancers. The study enrolls about 20 adults whose disease has progressed beyond earlier stages. Researchers aim to find the best dose of pacritinib when used with the other two drugs, while monitoring side effects.

What this could mean

Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.

Active substance

Pacritinib, venetoclax, and azacitidine

What this could lead to

If safe and effective, this combination could offer a new treatment option for people with advanced myeloproliferative neoplasms, potentially slowing disease progression.

What could go wrong

This is an early phase I trial with only 20 participants, so the main goal is safety and dosing, not proof of effectiveness. Side effects from the drug combination are unknown and could be significant.
