New drug targets genetic weakness in Hard-to-Treat cancers

Summary
This study tests a drug called pacritinib in people with advanced solid tumors (like breast cancer) that have a specific genetic change called 1q21.3 amplification. The goal is to see if the drug can shrink tumors or slow their growth. About 74 adults whose cancer has not responded to standard treatments will take part. The study is in early phases (1 and 2) to find the right dose and check how well it works.
