Pacemaker tweak could ease exercise strain for heart patients
NCT ID NCT07270536
Summary
This study is testing whether adjusting the settings of an existing pacemaker can help people with a specific type of heart failure (HFpEF) feel better during daily activities. Researchers will measure heart pressure in 20 patients while they do light cycling, seeing if increasing the pacemaker's rate lowers pressure and improves heart function. The goal is to find a simple, non-drug way to help patients breathe easier and be more active.
