First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 11, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested a new system (PA-100 AST) to help doctors choose the right antibiotic for women with urinary tract infections (UTIs). About 199 women with UTI symptoms provided urine samples, which were tested with the new system. The study looked at whether using this system changed how doctors prescribed antibiotics compared to their usual practice. The goal was to see if the system could improve treatment and help fight antibiotic resistance.
