Summary

This study tested a new system (PA-100 AST) to help doctors quickly choose the right antibiotic for women with urinary tract infections (UTIs). About 199 non-pregnant women with UTI symptoms provided urine samples, which were tested with the new system. The goal was to see if using this system changed how doctors prescribed antibiotics compared to their usual practice. The study focused on improving treatment and reducing antibiotic resistance.
