Ozone therapy offers hope for cancer patients with painful mouth sores

Summary

This study tests if ozone gas therapy, alone or with special toothpaste and mouthwash, can reduce painful mouth sores caused by radiation or chemotherapy. About 50 adults with head and neck cancer and mild to moderate mouth sores will be randomly assigned to ozone therapy or ozone plus home oral care. The goal is to ease pain, improve swallowing, and boost quality of life over 30 days.
