Ozone blast zaps gum pockets?
NCT ID NCT07604636
First seen May 31, 2026 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 2 times
Summary
This study looked at whether adding ozone gas to a standard deep cleaning (scaling and root planing) helps treat gum pockets that remain after initial treatment. Twenty-six adults with advanced gum disease and at least two deep, bleeding pockets took part. The researchers compared cleaning alone to cleaning plus ozone, checking gum health and bacteria levels at 3 and 6 months.
