Summary
This study tested whether adding the hormone oxytocin to a proven talk therapy (Prolonged Exposure) could help Veterans with PTSD. The goal was to see if oxytocin helped people stick with the therapy longer and reduced their symptoms more effectively than a placebo. The trial involved 180 Veterans and was conducted partly via video calls from participants' homes.
