First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated Jun 06, 2026 · Updated 27 times

Summary

This study looked at whether people with pulmonary vascular disease (a condition affecting blood vessels in the lungs) can exercise just as well without extra oxygen. Forty adults walked for 6 minutes, once with nasal oxygen and once breathing regular air. The goal was to see if walking distance was similar. Results help doctors understand if portable oxygen is always needed during exercise.
