Better breathing during medical scans: new oxygen method tested
NCT ID NCT07493811
Summary
This study tested whether a newer high-flow nasal oxygen system works better than standard low-flow oxygen at preventing dangerously low oxygen levels during sedated ERCP procedures. Researchers compared the two methods in 100 adult and elderly patients undergoing this specialized digestive system scan. The goal was to see which oxygen delivery approach better maintains safe oxygen levels and reduces breathing complications during the procedure.
