New study seeks easier way to monitor oxygen during lung surgery
NCT ID NCT07381517
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study will observe 51 adults undergoing lung surgery that requires one lung to be deflated. Researchers want to see if a non-invasive oxygen monitor (placed on the skin) can give the same information as a blood test about how well the lungs are working. No extra treatments or procedures will be given—just standard care. The goal is to find a simpler way to monitor oxygen levels during surgery.
