Summary
This study looked at how different oxygen concentrations given during abdominal surgery affect lung function. 95 adults having planned abdominal surgery were randomly assigned to receive different oxygen levels while on a breathing machine. The goal was to find the best oxygen setting to keep lungs open and working well after surgery, reducing complications like collapsed lung tissue.
