Breathing easier after surgery: major trial tests if more oxygen prevents infections
NCT ID NCT07186634
Summary
This large study aims to find the safest and most effective level of oxygen to give patients during major surgery. It will test if a higher oxygen level reduces wound infections and other serious complications, helping patients recover faster and spend more days at home. The trial will enroll 7,800 adults having surgeries that last at least two hours and require a hospital stay.
