Heart failure study: is less oxygen better?
NCT ID NCT05613218
Summary
This study is testing whether aiming for a lower or higher oxygen level in the blood is better for people hospitalized with sudden heart failure and fluid in their lungs. It will involve 122 patients who will be randomly assigned to have their oxygen therapy adjusted to one of two different targets for 24 hours. The main goal is to see which approach helps reduce the amount of fluid in the lungs more effectively.
