Could less oxygen save more lives after cardiac arrest?

NCT ID NCT03138005

Summary

This study tested whether giving less oxygen immediately after restarting a person's heart could lead to better recovery. It compared a lower oxygen target (90-94%) to the usual high target (98-100%) in adults who survived an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest. The goal was to see if the lower oxygen level improved survival and brain function by reducing potential harm from too much oxygen.
