NCT ID NCT00174980
First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 11 times
Summary
This study tested a drug called Oxycyte in people with severe head injuries to see if it could safely increase oxygen levels in the brain. Low brain oxygen is common after such injuries and can lead to more damage. The trial was stopped early and only included 9 participants. The goal was to explore whether Oxycyte might help protect the brain, but more research is needed.
