Scientists search for chemical clues to distinguish diabetes types
NCT ID NCT07434154
Summary
This study aims to understand the differences between Type 1 diabetes and a similar adult-onset form called LADA by measuring specific stress-related chemicals in the blood. Researchers will recruit 150 adult patients to provide blood samples during a single visit, with a follow-up for some new patients. The goal is to see if these chemical markers can help tell the diseases apart and if they relate to how well blood sugar is controlled.
