Scientists infect volunteers to crack COVID code
NCT ID NCT06478420
Summary
Researchers at the University of Oxford are running a study where they deliberately give a small dose of the Omicron BA.5 COVID-19 virus to healthy, vaccinated volunteers. The goal is to find the right dose that causes a mild, controlled infection in most people, creating a safe model for future research. This will help scientists better understand how the virus spreads and how our immune systems fight it after vaccination.
