Teen depression linked to monthly hormone shifts?
NCT ID NCT07317895
First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 17 times
Summary
This observational study looks at whether some teen girls with depression are sensitive to natural changes in estrogen and progesterone during their menstrual cycle. About 94 participants will track their hormone levels at home and answer daily mental health surveys for 90 days. The goal is to identify a hormone-sensitive subtype of depression, not to test any treatment.
