Could early labor start at home? study tests safety of outpatient induction

NCT ID NCT07265518

Summary

This study compares two approaches for starting labor in low-risk pregnant women: going home versus staying in the hospital after a small balloon device is placed to help the cervix prepare. Researchers want to see if going home is safe, how long labor takes, how satisfied mothers are, and if it saves healthcare resources. The study will include 258 women who need their labor started and meet specific safety criteria.
