Sending patients home after chest tube: a new path for lung collapse?

NCT ID NCT06471608

Summary

This study tests if people with a first-time collapsed lung can safely go home with a chest tube instead of staying in the hospital. It will compare the quality of life, recovery, and costs for about 386 patients who are either sent home or receive usual hospital care. The main goal is to see if outpatient care leads to better quality of life six months later.
