First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether teaching science outside for 5 weeks helps 5th and 6th graders learn better, feel more connected to nature, and have less worry about the environment (eco-anxiety). About 1000 children from schools in Montreal, Longueuil, and Laval will take part. Half will learn science outdoors, half indoors, and researchers will compare their observation skills, stress levels, and feelings about nature.
