NCT ID NCT07580859

First seen May 20, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study looks at whether sending a neonatal transport team to be present before birth (antenatal) versus after birth (postnatal) improves survival and brain development in extremely premature babies (23-28 weeks) born at hospitals without a specialized intensive care unit. Researchers will follow about 627 infants across France until they are two years old, tracking health, development, and family well-being. The goal is to find the best way to reduce death and disability in these vulnerable newborns.
