Summary
This study looked at whether osteopathic manual therapy (a type of hands-on body treatment) can help reduce symptoms of alcohol withdrawal in hospitalized adults. 26 patients who were undergoing a planned alcohol detox took part. Researchers measured withdrawal symptoms using standard questionnaires to see if adding osteopathy made a difference.
