Massive study digs into osteoarthritis data to predict who needs surgery
NCT ID NCT03438630
Summary
This study analyzed health records from over 75,000 Swedish patients with hip or knee osteoarthritis to learn more about their health and social factors. Researchers compared these patients to the general population to understand who does well with standard treatment (education and exercise) and who might eventually need joint replacement surgery. The goal was to find early signs that could help doctors give better, more personalized advice to future patients.
