CPAP-Free sleep solutions: mouth device vs. nerve implant showdown

NCT ID NCT07074288

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study compares two alternative treatments for moderate-to-severe obstructive sleep apnea in people who cannot use a CPAP machine: a custom mouthpiece (mandibular advancement device) and a surgically implanted nerve stimulator (hypoglossal nerve stimulation). Researchers will track sleep quality, daytime sleepiness, side effects, and patient satisfaction over time. The goal is to help patients and doctors choose the best non-CPAP option.
