Can a simple mouth rinse stop gum disease before it starts?

NCT ID NCT07270705

Summary

This study is testing whether two different strengths of a hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse (Oroxid) can help control early gum disease (gingivitis) when used alongside regular brushing. It will involve 90 adults with inflamed gums to see if the rinse reduces plaque, swelling, and bleeding after 7, 14, and 28 days of use. The goal is to see if this common ingredient is a safe and effective add-on to daily oral care.
