Summary
This study tested two surgical techniques to close an abnormal opening between the mouth and the maxillary sinus that can happen after a tooth is pulled. 24 adults with this condition were treated either with a standard flap method or a newer collagen membrane approach. The goal was to see which method better preserves gum tissue shape and promotes healing over 90 days.
