Engineered donor cells aim to make stem cell transplants safer for blood cancer patients

NCT ID NCT03802695

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated Jun 17, 2026 · Updated 37 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to prepare donor stem cells (called Orca-Q) for people with blood cancers like leukemia or MDS who need a transplant. The goal is to see if this engineered graft is safe and helps the body accept the new cells with fewer complications. About 300 participants will receive the treatment and be monitored for side effects and how well the new cells take hold.
