Stomach balloon study aims to help obese adults shed pounds safely

Summary

This study tracks the safety and effectiveness of the Orbera365 intragastric balloon, a device placed in the stomach to help with weight loss. About 200 obese adults in Europe will be followed during the time the balloon is in place (up to 12 months) and for 30 days after removal. Researchers will monitor serious side effects and how many people lose at least 10% of their total body weight.
