Can a special orange fight inflammation? scientists put it to the test

NCT ID NCT06944210

Summary

This study looked at whether eating two different types of sweet oranges could improve the body's ability to fight inflammation and cell damage. Twenty healthy adults ate either a special 'Rosy Red' orange or a common 'Olinda' orange daily for four weeks. Researchers measured changes in blood and stool samples to see if the special orange, which contains more natural pigments called carotenoids, offered any extra health benefits.
