Stanford tests a simpler path to pain relief after major back surgery

NCT ID NCT07203079

Summary

This study aims to find out if taking Tylenol (acetaminophen) as a pill works just as well as getting it through an IV for pain after spinal fusion surgery. Researchers will enroll 180 patients to see which method provides better pain control, reduces the need for stronger opioid painkillers, and helps patients recover faster. The goal is to improve comfort and recovery while potentially lowering costs and risks.
