Shoulder surgery recovery boost? new study tests common drug

Summary

This study tests whether taking oral tranexamic acid for a short time after total shoulder replacement can reduce pain and improve early recovery. Researchers will enroll 60 adults aged 18-79 who are having their first shoulder replacement. Participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the drug or a placebo, and their pain levels will be measured.
