NCT ID NCT05564117
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 28 times
Summary
This study tested a daily 25 mg semaglutide tablet in 307 adults with overweight or obesity to see if it helps with weight loss. Participants took the pill or a placebo for 64 weeks, followed by 7 weeks of follow-up. The main goals were to measure the percentage of weight lost and how many people lost at least 5% of their body weight. This is a disease control approach, as ongoing management may be needed.
