Scientists test pill to replace bone disease shots
NCT ID NCT05965167
Summary
This early study tested several new oral tablet formulations of a hormone (hPTH) used to treat bone diseases like osteoporosis. It involved 45 healthy male volunteers to see how the body absorbs these pills compared to an older oral tablet and a standard injection. The main goal was to check safety and measure hormone levels in the blood over time after taking the different versions.
