New iron pill aims to boost energy for weary hearts

NCT ID NCT06270498

Summary

This study is testing whether a special oral iron supplement can help people with chronic heart failure and iron deficiency feel better and be more active. Researchers will compare the supplement to a placebo (dummy pill) in 60 participants to see if it improves how far they can walk in six minutes and their quality of life. The goal is to find an easier, pill-based alternative to intravenous iron treatments.
