New program aims to help seniors walk again after broken bones
NCT ID NCT06731608
Summary
This study is testing a new care program called OPTIONS for older adults recovering from a broken hip or leg in a nursing facility. The program provides coordinated support for exercise, healthy eating, and bone-strengthening medication during rehab and after going home. Researchers want to see if this approach helps people regain their ability to walk and care for themselves, and improves their overall quality of life in the year after the fracture.
