One-Stop heart fix: new study tests dual procedure for AFib patients

NCT ID NCT07349121

First seen Jan 19, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at doing two heart procedures at the same time for people with atrial fibrillation (an irregular heartbeat). The first uses pulsed field ablation to fix the heart's electrical problem, and the second closes off a small pouch in the heart to lower stroke risk. About 500 adults who need both treatments will be followed to see if the combined approach is safe and works well.
