New transplant method shows promise for rare blood disorder

Summary
This study tested a new way to do stem cell transplants for people with severe aplastic anemia, a condition where the bone marrow stops making enough blood cells. The approach used a half-matched donor (haploidentical) to help more patients find a donor. The main goal was to see how many patients were alive one year after the transplant.
