Summary
This study tested whether two specific antibiotics (fidaxomicin and vancomycin followed by a taper) work better than standard vancomycin for treating repeat Clostridium difficile infections. About 308 adults with confirmed C. diff took part. The goal was to see which treatment prevented symptoms from coming back by day 59.
