Summary
This study tested whether two specific antibiotics—fidaxomicin and a special vancomycin regimen—work better than standard vancomycin for people with repeat Clostridium difficile infections. The goal was to see which treatment best stops symptoms and prevents the infection from coming back. The study included 308 adults with confirmed C. diff and was stopped early.
