First seen Apr 06, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 6 times

Summary

This study looks at whether keeping the head flat or slightly raised (30°) for the first 24 hours after severe stroke treatment helps patients recover better. About 1,500 adults with severe ischemic stroke will be randomly assigned to one of two head positions. The goal is to find out which position is safer and leads to better independence after 90 days.
