Summary
This study is testing the best depth to insert an esophageal stethoscope (a tube with a temperature sensor) to accurately measure core body temperature during surgery. Researchers will compare readings at different depths against a standard ear thermometer in 40 adults undergoing elective surgery. The goal is to find the most accurate placement for routine temperature monitoring.
