New study aims to improve opioid and pain care in indigenous communities

Summary
This study is testing how well a culturally tailored screening and brief intervention works for chronic pain and opioid misuse in three clinics serving American Indian and Alaska Native people. About 225 participants who have chronic pain or opioid problems will take part. The goal is to see if this approach helps clinics better identify and support those in need.
