Summary

This early-stage study tests a new drug called OPT101 in 26 adults hospitalized with community-acquired pneumonia and sepsis. The main goal is to check the drug's safety and how the body processes it. Participants will receive either OPT101 or a placebo for up to 4 days. This research helps determine if the drug is safe enough for further testing.
