First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 25, 2026 · Updated 18 times

Summary

This study looks at how opioid use disorder during pregnancy affects both mothers and their babies over time. Researchers will follow 600 pregnant women taking buprenorphine to understand which factors lead to better or worse outcomes, including the baby's risk of withdrawal (neonatal abstinence syndrome). The goal is to find ways to improve treatment and reduce harm for both mom and child.
