First seen Jan 09, 2026 · Last updated May 02, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study looks at how difficult childhood experiences might change the way people learn and remember things, and how that relates to opioid use disorder. Researchers will compare brain scans and memory tests in 185 adults: those with opioid use disorder on buprenorphine, those without the disorder but on buprenorphine, and healthy volunteers. The goal is to understand brain differences, not to test a new treatment.
