Mayo clinic pilots Opioid-Free recovery for facial surgery patients
NCT ID NCT07257133
Summary
This study is testing a new, FDA-approved pain medication called suzetrigine for patients recovering from elective facial plastic surgery. The goal is to see if this non-opioid pill can effectively manage pain and reduce the need for traditional opioid painkillers after surgery. Researchers will track pain levels and opioid use in 40 adult patients to gather early experience with this approach.
